I got stopped by a state trooper once in upstate New York for running a stop sign in a snow storm. I actually more slid through it than ran it. In those days they took you downtown to pay the fine on the spot. That cop drove like a maniac on those slick roads. I think he was just messing with me.

Hmm, now you're making me question my own memories! I would swear that I can remember seeing his speedometer hit 180, but now I'm seeing that the max speed for a cop car in the US has never exceeded 160.
So either his was modded locally, we were going downhill, or my 30+ year old core memory is wrong

I thought y'all might appreciate a story 
When I was around 16 or 17, my best friend Matt and I were going to Carowinds when we got a flat tire on I-77. A cop comes along to help us out.
This cop was a bit older, maybe in his 40s? But we start talking about fast cars, and he asks, "what's the fastest you've ever gone?"
At the time, Matt and I both pretty much kept our speedometers pegged all the time! Our cars pegged out at 85, so all I knew was that I had been somewhere between 90 and 100mph.
The cop says, "let's see how fast we can get this one to go!"
I kid you not, he got that cop car to 180 before he backed off!!!!
Matt and I acted all cool, but that was danged terrifying! It felt like we were floating, and a few times he would need to switch lanes to pass a car and would have to start the switch about a mile before he got to them!
It's a fun core memory for me now, but in retrospect? That cop should have probably been put in prison. I can't even count the number of lives he put in danger that day, just trying to show off to some kids he didn't know.

The driver of the SHP vehicle should be a desk jockey for 2 years at least. Better yet fired. It would be a good bet that they have not been with the force very long, and it should not be much longer.

Is they like a red for ed code which is similar for teachers or something, Theesy? Our sources is trying to figure why u and ur ilk is opposed to younguns having they recording devises in the school house- some of em enjoys they snappety chats and messages from they mommas also, they mornlikely ain't cheating or going on camera for reporting the poepoe on em or nothing, mostthem younguns ain't as dumb as they look except for the ones thinking they dogs, cats, lizards and goats and such. Now them fellers is dumb.

The blue wall of silence, also blue code and blue shield, are terms used to denote the informal code of silence among police officers in the United States not to report on a colleague's errors, misconducts, or crimes, especially as related to police brutality in the United States. If questioned about an incident of alleged misconduct involving another officer (e.g., during the course of an official inquiry), while following the code, the officer being questioned would perjure themselves by feigning ignorance of another officer's wrongdoing.
I think that there would have to be VERY compelling evidence for him to even get reprimanded, but less charged with anything.
And like shocker said, the two boys that went on camera to report it? They might wanna move... and maybe change their names...

Thats not how the johnny troopers work, if and when they find out who it was he will be fired no questions asked. If you do anything your fault or not and make the johnny troopers look bad you will be fired. |
Not really there was that trooper on 421 in watauga that rear end a pickup at close to 100mph with no lights or siren several years ago. They just moved him to Wilkes county where he had a few more accidents. Lets also not for get about the trooper that caused an accident that killed his brother who was a trooper and the guy the trooper had pulled over.

Our sources said he's mornlikey trying to get away from the crazies which is from Rockingham. They said Rockingham transplants to Ashe and Wilkes are bout the same, liberals which ain't for younguns getting to choose they own schools, it is easier to keep em groomed without the interference of the law dogs or private schools also.
